Social Entrepreneur Mr Charles Maisel challenging
entrepreneurs to think out of the box at the
innovation bootcamp.

As a precursor to the Startup Weekend Durban, the Graduate School of Business and Leadership recently hosted an innovation bootcamp facilitated by entrepreneur Mr Charles Maisel.

The purpose of the free bootcamp titled: “Seeing the leaves and what’s the best way to take the feathers off a chicken”, was to ignite the creative and innovative process in individuals who lack the confidence in their ability to develop feasible ideas.

The community engagement initiative was attended by emerging entrepreneurs and high school pupils who had ground breaking ideas for startup’s  but needed the knowledge to assist them in progressing from concept to company.

It is envisaged that through this initiative and the Startup Weekend Durban taking place from September 27 to 29, the School will inspire a thriving startup culture which is vital for KwaZulu-Natal’s sustainability and economic growth.
